Its no secret I'm a Trinidad fan, and after Hopkins threw the Puerto Rican Flag down on the ground I was adament that there was just no way I was ever going to be a fan of a man that could so blatantly disrespect another country, **** that my country. After the apology and some time to get to watch B-hop I started to realize that his brash behavior, his rough demeanor and outlandish actions might actually be an outer shell to protect the softer gentler person inside. Then I think nah not B-Hop, that dude would walk through the middle of a clan meeting and smile at the leader of the KKK while he brandished a picture of him getting head by a white girl. Last nights performance will have me telling of his greatness when my son is of age to watch boxing. Every generation has its memorable fighters and at the moment Hopkins truely stands out as my era's greatest fighter. At the end of the fight when Hopkins was looking into press row on the verge of tears no words were necessary. There was no need to tell the nay sayers they were wrong. All he had to do was stand there and watch them eat their words.
