How do Bernard fans feel about the Calspoogey fans using Hop's win to...

paint Slappy in a better light? In an ATG kind of light?

Was it worth seeing Bernard win if you knew that Slappy was going to, somehow, take so much credit post-fight?

    Meh.

They should be happy, Calzaghe won a close decision over Hopkins and many people claimed he only won because Hopkins was old and shot. Well, now he dominates an undefeated KO artist proving he clearly isn't shot. So hey, let them gloat.

Calsaghes takes not credit, he lost to an old superior man, that is all.

Hopkins is the man, but he knows he couldn't do that to Calzaghe though. Calzaghes workrate and speed made Hopkins gass out.

These arguments are always going round in circles.

The Bernard Hopkins we saw last night was not the same Bernard Hopkins we saw against Calzaghe. Now whether you put that down to Hopkins himself, or claim that Calzaghe's work rate/skill (lol) tired out Hopkins, or whether Hopkins was mentally/physically different for the Pavlik fight is a question that only Hopkins ihmself can really answer.

An older Hopkins magically pulled back time and Calzaghe is ****... LoL, you Americans are insane. Anyone who knows boxing knows Hopkins hates fast fighters like Calzaghe. Pavlik is no wheres near Calzaghes speed.

Calzaghe, Taylor, Jones Jr, all gave Hopkins problems even if you don't think one or two of them deserved the win. They both gave Hopkins problems because of there speed.

No that Hopkins was a better fighter.

Despite being even older and fighting a guy who was so slow moving up in weight and has no counter punching ability whatsoever.

Personally I think the difference was Calzaghe was beating Hopkins to the punch and threw more than Hopkins. Hopkins was clearly the faster man against Pavlik and his workrate was higher.

TBH all it shows is Calzaghe didn't beat a shot Hopkins, he beat a Hopkins that still had quite a bit left in that tank of his. It just gives more credibility to his win
