It's been a bad year for the fighters I like..

Khan, Cotto, Pavlik.....all suffering terrible defeats.

Damn, I hate that sick feeling you get in your stomach when you know it's going wrong.

All I need now is for Calslapstick to beat Jones and Barrett to spark Haye and then I can kill myself.

Anyone else remember bad year for the fighters you like?

Compared to Cottos loss Kelly had a tea party with BHop.

Lol, me too. I always knew in the back of my mind there was a very good chance Cotto could be stopped though. Pavlik getting schooled and punked after the final bell did not enter my mind.

Getting schooled by a 43 year that had lost 3 out his previous 5 fights is maybe worse than losing to a massive, 154 pounder who fights at 147 and is still in his prime.

I mean in terms of the severe beating Cotto took. Its different getting out boxed.

I'm never a huge fan of any particular fighter except maybe Glen Johnson who I know will win some and lose some.

Perhaps, but Pavlik still has his two belts and this might actually get Abraham (who was the only real fight for him at 160) to fight him. His stock goes down, but at least he didn't get KO'd, and the kid is only 26. Different trainer, he still might be able to make the necessary improvements to his game.
