Great win for Hopkins capping off a HOF career. This was one of those fights where I didn't mind if either guy won because I like both fighters, but what a AWESOME achievement by Hopkins. His detractors will have little to say about him after this one.

      Respect.

Im not the greatest fan of Hopkins mostly because of his antics and his fighting style(even though I understand why he does what he does). I do realize that he just might be the greatest fighter of my generation because of his accomplishments. When I say this I dont mean skill wise or even power, I just mean this man knows how to pull a rabbit out of a hat no matter what the situation (personally I think Roy Jones is the greatest of my generation) and even with that I believ,e Hopkins would beat Roy presently. I mean win or lose this man has fought the greatest of the present, Jones, Trinidad, Tarver,DeLaHoya, Tayler,Calzaghe, Wright, Pavlik, Simon Brown, Glen Johnson. If I was him (even though he doesnt need to he has nothing to prove) I would do what the new trend is for boxers. I would challenge the smaller lighter Margarito just cause Margarito's name is finally known out there and knock him out. I mean that is the new trend. Margarito vs. Cotto, De La Hoya vs. Pacman. Why not? Much Resect to the Executioner!

Bernard said to Kelly after the fight, "go back down to Middleweight, go back to work, and you could be one of the most dominating Middleweight Champions in history...", so obviously the cagey master saw something was off, and knows that Pavlik is better than this performance.

Usually Hop is anything but class, but he was truly a graceful man Saturday night. He should go out now.

Pavlik can still be an all-time great. He's not overrated. It was an awkward style situation for him. Every all-time great, short of Marciano, walked away with at least a few humiliating losses. This is not the end of Kelly Pavlik, his legacy, his greatness, nothing. Anyone who thinks so is a total bridge-burning, band wagon jumping terd. Hopkins had two losses before he even became Middleweight Champion.

There's nothing wrong with reigning in one division. This p4p fad will end soon enough.
