Just because Calzaghe beat Hopkins doesnt mean he will beat Pavlik, you got to be a dumbass to think like that.

Hopkins and Calzaghe are two totally different fighters, Pavlik has better chance to beat Calzaghe than Hopkins.

If they fought at 160-166, I say Pavlik wins because Calzaghe is a lot easier target than Hopkins

Of course it doesn't mean Joe would beat Pavlik. But I'm betting he would and pretty badly too. Cal wouldn't need to be the defensive genius that Hopkins is. B-hop hit Pavlik at will and was obviously the faster fighter. Joe is that much faster and would probably KO the plodding Ghost. I like Pavlik but his weaknesses were exposed

I had hopkins beating CalZ but i cant agree 100% that pavlik would beat joe, he woulda had a better night for sure if he was fighting him though

handspeed is his Kryptonite. Pavlik can't get off when the other is punching, Calzaghe would spoil him completely. Not even sure Pavlik would have a punchers chance, he's to slow to catch Joe enough times.

Great fight by Bhop , Pavlik cannot fight outside middle , he showed today that at the higher weight he has no snap at all ,,, none ,, he looked very flat to me from the opening bell his punches were all pushed and labored he doesnt have enough ability to play with weight , thought Bhop looked the best he has for years very fresh with good legs and good speed , hats of to him great performance .

Yes Pavlik would beat Calzaghe. Styles make fights. Look where were Clazaghe and Hopkins when they were 26 years old? Fighting ****ing nobodys, they didnt step up like Pavlik did. They waited untill it was super safe, untill the point of them being booed untill they fought better competiton.
