Is something rotten in the state of Teampalle?

Miranda fights Abraham, Pavlik fights Hopkins, Bute fights Andrade, Taylor fights Lacy and Jones fights Calzaghe. And then Kessler fights ... Häussler i think. Does anybody knows where and when?.
Before and after the Calzaghe fight, Kessler was one of the hottest fighters around. What happened. The turning down on the Miranda fight was a big mistake. Kessler for years wanted to fight in the US. The Mundine fight wasn't never on, and then Teampalle announced there "Master plan" - It meant a fight against Sartison!!. Teampalle and Kessler were so pleased, that they ones again was the world champion. But Kessler dear: You are no more a champion, that Mundine was before the Calzaghe - Kessler fight. The WBA belt was lost to Calzaghe and you never won it back!.
In Denmark the Kessler fight against Häussler is shown, for the first time in years, free on nationally network (TV2) but for a reason. Know body cares anymore. From being one of the hottest name in boxing, inside a year, now you cant even find any announcements of the Häussler-fight at HBO, ESB or on boxing Scene.
When you go to Teampalle.dk the last update is from the 21. July. Only acceptable reason for this, has to be some intense negotiations for some big fights in US - only trouble is - i doubt it???????

This is what bugs me. Palle is ruining Kessler's career. Mikkel should have jumped ship a long time ago. If he would have, he had enough talent to be "the man" right now.

What bothers me is that Palle will eventually get another big fight for Kessler, and Kessler will be unprepared again. Palle feeds him these fights that are so easy, that when Kessler steps up and fights someone in his class, he finds himself in deep waters and is not sure how to get out of them. If he would have been better prepared for Joe he would have beaten Joe.

What kessler needs is a couple of semi tough fights, where he has to dig a little deeper, to prepare for the fights where he has to dig really deep. All the skills in the world will not win you the toughest fights without that inner drive, inner toughness and inner meanness. Mikkel has not had to tap into them because he never had to. When he needed it against Joe, he was not sure what to do.

I don't like Palle either. And I have no idea why he is fighting Haussler.

But I think the community has "acceptet" that he'll fight a pretty low fight. But it's the last chance, after this he NEEDS, and I cannot stress it enough, he ****ing NEEDS a superfight. Elsewhere he'll be forgotten I believe. Maybe he can come back after some years, but when you only fight each 6 months, you need to pick your fights carefully.

He fights Haussler because Haussler was bypassed when Kessler fought Sartison for the WBA belt. Kessler was no1, Haussler no.2 and Sartison no.3. When the Sartison fight was arranged WBA dictated that a defense against Haussler was mandated within 90 days.

Kessler wanted a championship belt. Now he has to make this silly defense. Or in another term: You live by the alphabet boys and you die with them.

Bat the Man - i respect you as a boxing commentator. Otherwise i disagree. Kessler isn't dictated into any defense or fight. When Kessler lost to Calzaghe, he was the WBA champ. Mundine never was and never has been the WBA - world champ. To say that Kessler is force to fight "mandatories" against Sartison and Häussler is just not true. Kessler fights for nothing, and he is just getting older.

Sorry Jan, but you are wrong. Kessler (and Mundine) is WBA 'regular' champ. Kessler won the regular belt when he fought Sartison. Calzaghe has the WBA belt plus another major belt so by WBA rules he becomes 'Super'champ.

Under nomal circumstances the champion must defend against the no.1 contender inside 6 months. The Haussler fight is different as explained above. The super champ has 18 months to defend.

Confused? There's the alphabet soup for ya!

I am fully aware of that.
Calzaghe the champ and Mundine vacated the "regular" title, so now Kessler finds him self "to be dictated" to fight a mandatory to claim his 3. or 4. places at the WBA. Mundine did that for years, but it was his goal to be the regular champ. Surely don't hope it is Kessler goal too?
And only Teampalle is to blame. When Palle stated his "Master plan" it turned out to be a fight against wba #3 for the regular title but for what reason. Just to be the regular champ ?????
If not, why didn't Palle just force the fight against the wba #2 Häussler in the first place, so we didn't have to waste our time with this mandatory for the regular title now??
And Kessler says he wants to fight in US, so why didn't they just take the Miranda fight in the first place??
What is the "Master plan" - that is the question?
