I also thought the Julio fight was this weekend, but when it wasn't listed on the betting odds, I checked and it is scheduled for 11/1.

As for the thread topic, Pavlik clear decision win, and I'm hoping for a career ending KO.

There hasn't been a lot of hype for Pavlik, Dettloff is full of ****. Most people have never heard of Pavlik.

There really was a lot of hype for the MMA fighter Kimbo Slice, who became a household name.

HBO beats that rust belt crap to death every time he's on.
It was a great article by one of the best scribes in the biz IMO

I can't say I agree with it but then again I don't really know how much Pavlik is being 'hyped' there.

From what I've heard he isn't that big of a name in America.

Anyone who KO's a top contender and a champion in highlight reel fashion should get all the attention possible in my opinion.

I predict the fight on Saturday will be an ugly one though. Pavlik should win a decision by outworking the older man.

Perhaps hype is the wrong word. The Pavlik story rags to riches, rust belt icon, etc, etc.

I am used to boxrec lying to me, but ********* usually doesn't screw it up like this.

As much as i like both fighters, i have to lean toward a Hopkins tight unanimous decision. I just seen how Taylor made simple corrections in his rematch with Pavlik( Holding his hands up, tying up, staying off the ropes ect) and this is Hopkins game, so just realized how Bernard is stylistic a nightmare for Kelly. Pavlik is fighting at his highest weight class against his biggest opponent, who won't trade with him, he will keep the fight a tactical standpoint, has enough pop to get Kelly's respect and is 10x the boxer that Jermain is. About the fight down the stretch, Kelly does not have the FAST work rate of a Calzaghe, who is a masterful boxer on top of being busier, so therefore Hopkins will have more time to pace himself in this fight similar to the way he did against Wright. Hopkins is a smart man, and he would not take on this kind of dangerous opponent unless he sees something.

On the other fights, a want Julio to beat Dnziruk because it would be better for boxing and will actually fight the big names unlike Serguii.

I don't know who Dip is but I'm a big fan of Lueveno, so I'll be rooting for him.

Idk much about these undercard guys. Never seen Dibs fight.

But Pavlik is gonna UD Hopkins, possibly stop him late.
