I cannot believe the hype this fight has produced. Everyone seems to be into this matchup. More than I could have imagined.

I always thought this fight would slip right under the radar as in the big scheme of things, it is so insignificant.

I think these two upcoming fights (Hopkins/Pavlik and RJJ/Calzaghe) are both going to be really good fights. I think the Zaggs/Jones fight will be the better of the two, but I'm extremely interested in seeing exactly how it goes with Pavlik against an older, smarter Hopkins. Even if I predict a fight and it happens just how I call it, I still love seeing the action leading up to it. Besides, there's always the (slim) chance I'll get surprised and be completely wrong.

This is one of the highlights of my year, Dean. You have two fighters at the opposite ends of the spectrum here, one coming into his prime, another nearing the end of his career. One is said by some to be one-dimensional, the other is a multi-dimensional. One has great power, but the other has a proven granite chin. One has a high work rate and comes forward constantly applying pressure, the other a low work rate but uses every trick in the book to slip and slide out of harm's way, and so on...

What's not to like? I thought every boxing fan would be interested in this fight.

Wow...was funny cause seeing that photo of Benard in Kelly's face, it made it look like Pavlik was scared or intimidated when infact it was the other way around. Benard went into his face and Kelly pushed right back making Benard go back and I think that's when the words went since Benard couldn't get to him that way. Benard may have just put more punishment on himself than he needed.

Oh don't get me wrong. I am into it and most of us here would be. But it seems to have captured more media attention and the general public's attention than I expected. It just has an atmosphere of an "event" when really it isn't!LOL
