before their last fights they were #3 (winky) and #4 (hatton)
after one defeat they are completely wiped off it.
wtf?
Ring mag actually had Hatton at #8 before Mayweather. He lost, badly, and then looked like ass against Lazcano. Not good for him. In addition there have been a bunch of good fighters who have jumped on to the list by not losing.
Wright was #3 and lost a close fight to Hopkins. I thought it was excessive that he dropped all the way to #8 or #9... but the fact that he hasn't fought since July 21, 2007... I have no problem with him being unranked.
Usually people leave the rankings when they haven't fought in a year, so that explains Wright's case.
because Winky hasnt fought in a million years and because Hatton almost got check hook knocked out by a past prime Lazcano.
but also you have to take into account that other fighters have had more imprssive wins lately. Margarito went flying to the top of p4p lists, and he wasnt there before Cotto
I remember he was ranked 5 before Cory Spinks, and then got knocked down in the 8-10 range... and then eventually just fell off because of people like Cotto and what not. That was a strange one.
winky has not fought, wtf! hatton could be argued by some especially if he walks through paulie. i mean he is still the man at 140! only loss to the former p4p champ.
winky should be off for not fighting....but thats no excuse for the ****ers who dropped him from #3 to 9-10 immediatly after a close loss to #5-6.....especially when guys like hatton who was #10 suddely became #8 and they didnt wanna drop him after his embarrassing KO loss to floyd...but had to because of how he looked like ass vs a shot lazcano...
