don't hate the player, hate the game!
Why is it anybody that praises this kind of behaviour is a Floyd Mayweather or Bernard Hopkis fan?

When you are that rich and when you have a legacy like Mayweather you do not need to brag. For some unkown reason Mayweather does which leads me to believe he has a lot of internal issues. The man is clearly insecure about something or is lacking something in his life and it's sad.

I really do respect Floyd Mayweather as a fighter and he seems like a nice guy I just dont get why he does this kind of stuff. This is exactly the reason Ricky Hatton has an army of fans. He has all this money and realises that the majority of his fans do not therefore decides to not brag about it.

      What behavior sissy?

      He's not hurting anybody.

At least he's not in some pub getting plastered like Hatton and MANY other fighters.

At least he's not raping 15 year olds or beating guys with baseball bats..like Oscar and Vargas.

I cant even understand what the hell he's saying. He's talking utter ****. If I had all that money I could think of better ways to spend it than sitting on camera bragging and claiming "I'm a professional **** talker".

Floyd is good at investing and flipping his money. He's friends with Mark Cuban..no telling what financial opportunities Mayweather is taking advantage of.
          You got that right.

It was the BIGGEST prizefight in boxing HISTORY! A fight to top the PPV buys it got would have to be huge (HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE!) to even come close to that.

          Decent PPV buys: 300K
          Great PPV buys: 350K-450K

But DLH/PBF? That fight made 2.4 million!

Mayweather tried to follow that up with "Undefeated", casual fans should've gobbled that up like there was no tomorrow and I believe it came nowhere near that.

"Undefeated" made around 700K buys, I think. Veeeeeerrrrrry high amount of buys, but still...DLH/PBF...made three times that amount and more.

I like the idea of Mayweather returning, but he's been sayin' for YEARS that he was getting bored of the sport. You know how you have a part time job, you hate it, and you think constantly about quitting, but you just keep at it hoping it'll get better? After hanging in there, you just turn your back on it and say. "Aw, to hell with this..." That's Mayweather, except he has no incentive to return.

Legacy?- he won't crack the top 10 ATG, but you have to be objective and say that regardless of it he's gonna' be somewhere in there.

Money?- He was involved in the biggest prizefight in history. PBF is drowning in money, he's got millions! You'd have to be someone like Oscar (financial-wise and popularity-wise) to bait him into coming back...and that's next to impossible, since Oscar was big promoter and figher that attracted the majority of the fans.

It's not happening. He started boxing early, he boxed in his teens, adulthood, took on several fighters that went on to be champions, moved up weight classes and fought a few times at welterweight before retiring.

If there was ever a perfect time for him to retire (and him not wanting to fight anymore) it was now.

24/7- He made a slice of that since he came up with the idea.
          DLH/PBF- Big $$$$$$$

Dancing with the Stars- did he make a money off of this? (I dunno.)

24/7- more money for the fight leading up to...
          PBF/Hatton- Big $$$$

          Early 2008

          Wrestlemania- Big $$$$$

This is it! If he truly likes having money like he says he does (and if that love for money overshadows his desire to fight), then that was the straw that broke the camel's back.

"I've made TONS and TONS of dollars during 2007 and a big payday in early 2008...why the hell should I keep fighting if money is the only incentive I got?"

          ^^^Mayweather's train of thought.

This is just another way for him to promote himself and show everyone that he's still got a grip of cash. However he should have let his people talk more and let them have the lime light. He should have been promoting his label and not spouting out all the bull**** that was streaming out of his mouth. He might have great advisers, and be pulling in a bunch of money but the quickest way to turn people against you is when you brow beat them with the things they'll never have. Its hard to like Floyd when he acts like that just my .02

While I am a Floyd fan, I agree. Also all the money he is showing could not only be a problem with random people who are desperate but those guys around him.......the "Yes" men could get greedy too and do something to him.

It's not like they're selling alot of albums and getting money. If he pays them, it's unlikely that it's too much.

Also what happened to Mayweather Promotions??? I thought he was gonna venture into the promoting business and try to get to the level of Golden Boy.

It seems like he doesn't like the idea of making money through boxing, whether it's being a trainer like his father or promoting boxing.

Sooner or later he is gonna have to realize though, that that's his only option. These guys around him are not gonna sell any albums and get his Philthy Rich Company paid. RIght now he is just living out his Jay-Z/P.Diddy fantasy dream.
