FRANKFURT, Germany (AP)—Wladimir Klitschko will defend his IBF heavyweight title against Alexander Povetkin of Russia on Dec. 13 in Mannheim, Germany.
Povetkin, undefeated in 16 fights, is the mandatory IBF challenger.
The fight will be held in the SAP Arena, Klaus-Peter Dittrich, a member of Klitschko’s management, said Friday.
Klitschko takes a 51-3 record into the fight. The Ukrainian also holds the WBO and IBO heavyweight titles.
His older brother, Vitali Klitschko, beat Samuel Peter last week to win the WBC heavyweight title.
