Absolutely. Good thing welter Tito was a good boxer, with a strong chin and solid defense.

Tito has a shaky chin no arguement there but name how many times tito has been stopped? once by the 2001 version of bhop and that was after 12 rds. no way marg stops tito he has no advantages other than a better chin marg comes forward and tito crushes him

I don't think ANYONE crushes Margarito but I see a war that ends with Tito stopping him in the final round; Margarito stays on his feet but is taking frightening shots like Campas.

Unless Tito runs around the ring like Cotto it's going to be a brawl in a phone booth and marginal punchers have dropped him frequently in his prime. With Tito's shaky chin and loose defense during exchanges he's probably hitting the canvas several times before getting stopped by the ref or corner.

This posts reeks of someone who heard about this but never actually watched Tito in his prime.

When did you start watching him, around the Oscar fight? It's ok, you can tell me

So how many people in this thread have actually watched prime Tito fights at WW? Why do I keep hearing all this stuff about Tito having a rubbish chin? How many times has he been knocked out? How many times has he been severely hurt?

Anyone that thinks Tito gets KO'd by Margarito is daft. At WW Tito makes easy work of a guy like Margarito. Margarito is a sucker for the left hook and despite having a great chin, no one takes that left hook throughout an entire fight like Margarito would and still be standing. There is a big difference between taking Cotto's shots and taking a point-of-the-chin left hook from prime Tito at WW. All over baby.

Margarito doesn't have the goods to beat Tito. He wouldn't
stand a head taller as he did against Cotto, and he would be much, much slower, have even less power instead of about as much as Cotto and if needed Tito could out-box him down the stretch without fading.

People forget that Cotto is not a big WW at all. Tito was a very big WW with freakish power. If Margarito is getting stunned and hurt pretty bad by Santos he would get knocked out by the better skills and much greater power of Tito who is bigger than Margarito.

If getting dropped a dozen times somehow equates to tight defense and a solid chin then I can't help you there. We know you love Tito but facts are facts.
