I cannot believe anyone is irritated with Vazquez for what he said...

Right now, Vazquez and Marquez have everyone in the sport beat for the hardest fights in their previous three... they deserve some time off.

Vazquez is coming to the end of his career, and wants to get some money. The fact that he is even willing to fight Lopez is a step in the right direction. Most guys would say, "**** that noise, I want a big name, not a young undefeated badass."

Oh yeah, and this is coming from a HUGE Lopez fan.

Excuses, excuses! The whole thing with Juanma being unknown is bull****. A lot of people know him after he destroyed Ponce De Leon, all the commentators in fights and boxing experts always mention him and he will be fighting on the DLH-Paquiao undercard. After that, the whole World will know his name. They might even do a 24/7 show on HBO. Nobody knew who Pavlik was until last year, and he is fighting B-Hop on PPV tomorrow night. Stop making excuses and act like the supposedly Big Champion that you are! Don't be like Mayweather and use $$$ as an excuse to not fighting the hard ones. When he was offered 8 mil to fight Margo a few years back he said no. Then he fought Castillo for only 1/2 a mil. more and almost got beat(actually a lot of people saw Castillo win). I love to see Mexican boxers fight because of their heart and would love to see Juanma fight Vazquez or Marquez after fighting the winner of Caballero-Molitor. Nobody wants to fight Juanma because not only he has demolishing power, he has great boxing skills.

Don't talk to me about excuses. Your talking only from a fans point of view. So, I don't expect you to understand. Fortunately, your in the minority on this website. There a lot of Lopez fans and Vazquez that understand. And can think outside the box. If Vazquez were offered 8 million dollars, hell he would fight anyone for that kind of money. But what you don't realize is that at 122lbs... Promoters don't offer that type of money. Not even half... Both guys deserve a good payday... Not just Vazquez.

Please don't compare Mayweather actions with Vazquez. That's a horrible example in all aspects.

I respect Juanma and I think he's a great fighter. He beat Ponce in great fashion. But Figuerora was a no biggie fight. We are just saying build your resume up and create a better following.(that we know he's capable of because like Mexicans.. Puerto Rican support their fighters)

Because in doing so... when the time is right. Both guys can ask promoters for a bigger payday. And they can say.. hey.. we can fill up a stadium and deserve more money.

We know it's capable, Lopez people know its capable, the fans know its capable, but we have to convince the promoters and the networks.
