My (interesting) Chad-Lacy prediction and the reply... :)

A while back on another, now defunct, board I was talking to these three gentleman who to this very day cannot stand me (LOL) because they were upset that I, among other things, told them they didnt have respect for fighters, didn't know what they were talking about, etc (it's a long story)....anyway, they ridiculed everything I said, etc...one day I brought up Chad to them and said I felt he could defeat Lacy if they matched up..Chad wasn't big time back then -and it was no dis to Jeff at all- but I knew what I had in him as a fighter, knew his potential, his size, range, skills, etc. etc...styles make fights and I felt him being a southpaw and being sotall, slick, rangy etc would be trouble for Jeff....and this guy responded with what was pretty much a mirror image of each of these guys reactions to my statements...

Re: Jones v. Calzaghe Nah man, he's not talking tune up, he's talking July 8th as Joe Calzaghe's next title defense. I've been respectful of RJJ because he was a great fighter, but he's DONE, WELL DONE, and he's been WELL DONE for years. Since his first fight with Tarver you could see he was on his way out. My thing is Roy's ego is gonna get him killed, someone needs to tell him that he's not the best in the world anymore. Joe C. just beat the living @#%$ out of a guy that I thought would NEVER lose, a young, hungry, ferocious fighter. RJJ's ego was fine when he was the best, now it's dangerous, because he doesn't see how much he sucks nowadays. If he still wants to fight, I could understand him going on a world tour of bums, but don't call out a 42-0 fighter who just shocked 90% of the boxing experts, thats not ROy's place anymore, problem is, he doesn't know it.
