The promoter initially wanted Cedric Ceballos for the fight but he was away on a ski trip and couldn't be bothered.

The only people who feel Miguel Cotto woke up and became a boxer are those who started watchin the sport a few years ago or less. And they're the same ones who need to fall back, shut up and learn before they start telling us who did what. If this post comes off as condescending, great.

Cotto always had skills and was always a good counterpuncher, he has done more boxing in his last couple of fights but the skills were always there, he showed quite a lot of it earlier in his career, he fought like an inside fighter because it worked best for him but people that think his skills just suddenly developed are wrong, it's been there all along.
