Gerald McClellan for sure he was a quick starter, and Kelly Pavlik has been caught early quite alot in his career. And Kelly Pavlik seems to take more time to get warmed up, but Gerald McClellan would not allow him to do so.

Wow this would be the battle of the punches, both have skills but both fighters are known for there extrodenary punching power, Now first off if both fighters come in at there best with no weight draing problems at middlweight i would have to pick McClellan as i belive McClellan take's a better punch than Kelly(becuase benn never knocked Gerald out becuase of his chin it was becuase of poor prepeation and really bad weight cutting) and Kelly's chin could not hold up to McClellan punching power and i predict McClellan With a TKO victory.

difference between McClellan and Pavlik is McClellan could take it and dish it out he went to war with Julian Jackson and came out on top

Jermain Taylor could not put Kasim Ouma,Spinks away yet he had Pavlik in some real trouble

When a fighter gets brain damage in a fight u have to question how long it was effecting him somehow or other during the fight, Gerald was hanging his gumshield out early on, perhaps too big, dont know, he also blinked alot.
Also i think that ref helped Benn out ALOT! Good chance he gets stopped Very Early with a different ref!

              Yeah man!

G Man's mouthpiece was hanging out a lot in the Benn fight. i dont think it was too big though because it seemed fine early on in the fight.

yep its a well known fact he was having trouble making weight at 160 and used to use silly amounts of weight before fights

McCllelan punches harder, has a better chin.
Pavlik gets KO'd within the first half of the fight

McClellan would savage him (which is not to say completely dominate). First round knockdown for sure. I see Pavlik surviving into the mid-late rounds and having moments boxing from the outside, but eventually being overwhelmed. Pavlik can be hurt - it was never established if a fully functional McClellan could be.

Ive heard that there were actually signs of brain damage before the Benn fight.
                      very sad.

McClellan would have KOed him early, but Pavlik would have gotten in his fair share of punches while it lasted.
