John Duddy's is fighting worse clubfighters now than he was last year.

Maybe that's because he's just a glorified clubfighter himself.

Duddy should go to 154 and fight Mayorga. Mayorga lost to Mosley but is still a big name and a good gatekeeper for upcoming fighters not to mention Duddy/Mayorga would be a war.

Duddy would have beaten Pavlik had the fight come off,

I agree. Beating an old clubfighter like Hill won't do anything for Duddy. It looks to me like he is just marking time until a big payday comes along.

Lets judge duddy on his next two apponents. He does'nt deserve the beating the critics are throwing his way. Lets see what happens with Hill and Hearns first.
He's a great entertainer and gives a hell of a show for the boxing fans. Believe me, if more fought like Duddy. We would'nt be having the problems with the growing number of fans moving to MMA for blud and guts.

i kind of agree with what you said as far as his ability to entertain goes. the dude is always exciting to watch. but on one hand i feel with the publicity he has already gotten that it's time for him to step up big time.

on the other hand he keeps getting those nasty cuts that never seem to heal correctly. he has to balance that with staying active, keeping his name out there and keeping his skills sharp. but if we don't get real answers to the real questions about duddy by the end of '09 i'll be very disappointed and uninterested in seeing what he may or may not do in the future.
