Boxing is very popular in Germany, any good fight card sells out. They do a much better job of promoting and selling the fights.

There have been 3 turkish girls(age 14-16) discussing this fight in the subway.
One of em wanted to see the fight but had to go out with her boyfriend and she was moaning about it.

I was like " WHAT DA ****????"

It depends on the fight, if it's on RTL it gets advertised for weeks there, which means nearly every german knows about it. But most of the fights are on ARD or ZDF and don't get half the recognition.
