      Nah, he wouldn't be as good IMO. Working with his father means he has created his unusual style, his best asset. With a trainer like Roach, Mayweather etc they would have made him fight in a more conventional style, which wouldn't be as good for him IMO.

        Calzaghe being trained by Mayweather sr would be awesome. Him doing the shoulder roll against Kessler would be funny as.

          Indeed. The fact he's a bit of a mental doesn't take away the fact he's an excellent trainer and motivator. Also, it can't all be coincidence that his fighters are often tactically superior to their opponents.

          For a trainer in a shed in the utterly depressing Gwent Valleys, that's a ****ing superb achievement and no mistake.
