  • Chris Byrd is overrated and should stay retired

Personally, I always thought that Chris Byrd was a little overrated. Why do people give him so much credit? Is it because he won against an aging Holyfield? Is it because he won against Vitali Klitschko even though Vitali was ahead on the scorecards prior to the stoppage, due to Vitali Klitschko injuring his shoulder. However, I do give him credit for beating David Tua. Chris Byrd was never really a heavyweight, but he was a good southpaw. Chris Byrd was such a defensive fighter that he almost never took risks, which leads us to boring fights most of the time, does that sound good to you? I like Chris Byrd as a person, but as a fighter he should stay retired. In addition, Shaun George beat Chris Byrd to a pulp in his last fight at light heavyweight. There are rumors circulating the internet that he's planning a comeback, I hope he stays retired.

Byrd is not overrated but he IS shot, and so should stay retired.

Byrd is done. His last fight with Wladimir really seemed to take a lot out of him.

He won his comeback fight against some guy from Italy I forget his name. He got stopped by Povetkin, and stopped badly by some other guy moving down to light heavyweight.
