Note how they talk about Pacquiao, yet fail to mention that Pacquiao didn't pull out of the fight the day of. He fought in his depleted state and lost.

Had Pacquiao no-showed, he would have been black-listed and we would never have heard of him.

Bet you anything Guzman's fight will be in DR away from TV. America is done with him.

Yeah, obviously, but I didn't write the article. Just posting it here because a). he will return on Dec. 20th and b). he split from Mayweather Sr. I figured that info was worth posting here since there are a few of us that still care about seeing him fight and how his career will turn out

He could fight at middleweight, he only has to make 3-5 pounds of weight there.

How do you think the split with Mayweather Sr. will affect him?

Not too much, I believe Mayweather has only trained him for his last 2-3 fights, including the non-fight against Campbell. I think at age 32 he's pretty much learned everything he needed to learn. I know Mayweather helped him with his defense a bit but nothing drastic

Oh, he'll make 135 this time around...his head was soo big before it weighed around 5 lbs. I think he makes 135 easy. Funny how Mayweather "amicably" ditched him though, flushed him like a turd

                    ___

Undefeated two-time world champion Joan Guzman is returning to the ring just before Christmas. ******************.com has learned.

Guzman’s first bout since he failed to make weight in a Sept. 13 challenge against WBO, WBA and IBF lightweight champion Nate Campbell will be a 135-pound title elimination bout on Dec. 20.

“Guzman is in the gym and Guzman will weigh in at 135 pounds,” an informed source said Friday.

“Guzman has apologized profusely for what happened in Mississippi, now it’s time to move on.”

The source also pointed out something that was overlooked in the brouhaha about Guzman not fighting Campbell over the weight. More than physician who examined the Dominican Dandy after he came in 3.5 pounds overweight in Biloxi recommended that he not fight due to extreme dehydration.

“People have short memories because Manny Pacquiao came in two pounds overweight for a flyweight title defense against Medgoen Singsurat,” the source said. “Pacman was stripped of the title. The great Pacman, and he is just that, was physically-drained like Guzman was. Pacman fought anyway and got knocked out in three rounds.”

Guzman and trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. have parted ways in an amicable manner.

The source said further details on Guzman’s return will be forthcoming.

About f'ing time he was seriously pissing me off...I was actually thinking about getting off the bandwagon...I hope he can stay active.
