it was, i watched a documentary about it. It wasnt an actual camera though it was a kinetograph, which just took a lot of pictures and then stuck them together (something like 10 a second i think). It was Jim Corbett fighting i think, the cameras inventor (cant remember his name) was a fan.

and it was William Friese-Green who invented it......................but there was a lot going on around that time, Edison was one of the firsts to do a movie picture also, he did one of two guys boxing as well. at the time there were a couple of guys that were fascinated on making a moving picutre and they had a few devises, either way, i bet none of them imagined what we have today for movie pictures, that is for sure.....
