Some say white men can't fight, but if you watch Europeans, you will see that's definitely not true.

However, you could make a strong case that American white men can't fight. Pavlik is on the verge of becoming the first elite American white fighter since Pep and Marciano...

Boxing is a sport for the toughest men, and there are easier and less risky ways to make a living. My parents strongly discouraged me from getting seriously into the sport, even though my late uncle was a boxer. I think it's the soft lifestyle and abundance of other opportunities that's kept white men who may have been potential champions in America out of boxing.

But there may be harder times coming in the next few years.
