    Vitaly, the unappreciated one.

Vitaly's performance last night was once again great. He did beat an average fighter who looked even more average at fight night. I think Sam lost the battle at the press conferences and as a result he had no confidence going into the fight. He did well by quitting, but him quitting should be taken into context with prior comments of his where he said that he would rather die in the ring than quit, or smth along those lines anyway.

I think Corrie Sanders and Danny Williams are better victories for Vitaly than Sam Peter, however, the casual fan probably won't see it that way and the history books probably won't see it that way either. Having said that though, I don't think Vitaly has connected on an opponent's head as often as he did last night. I think his connect % was in the mid 80's.

Vitaly stands once again as the best heavyweight in the world. Some would argue that it's his bro, but it's Vitaly who was taking revenge on fighters who had brutally koed his baby bro and taking revenge on them immediately and in a brutal fashion.

Vitaly has the highest ko ratio of all time, defeated the #2 heavyweight of the world without losing a single second of the fight and he's made great history. Nobody else at heavyweight has come back after such a long layoff and won a title in his first fight back. I can think only of Leonard doing that against Hagler. You can't compare Vitaly to Leonard or Sam to Hagler obviously, but you can draw parallels that both fighters came back after injuries and a lot of time off, and won titles in their respective divisions.

Vitaly showed why he was worthy of the emeritus status given to him.

And lastly, I've been very disappointed with Sam's camp throughout his career as I see them as a bunch of yes man. In particular, Gotzev, the trainer and Duva.

Vitali always goes up against these guys who use to have power and be all good. It ain't his fault the dudes he fightin come in with no power no drive to win. Williams, Johnson, and Peter all were like that and it sucks for Vitali. Even mandatory fighter Gomez is 36 years old and won't be too much of a challenge for him.

Vitali is two years older than age 35 JC Gomez, who is very underrated IMO.

I wholeheartedly agree. Gomez is very underrated and if Klitschko extinguishes him, that's a great statement.
