How good is Dawson really

I think he is a good all around fighter. I dont think he is a phenom like RJJ but he could be as good if he trains hard.

Huge potential to be great. Prolific, accurate, quick offense. Defense seems to be decent. Although slow ass Tarver did catch him more than I would expect him to, considering how AWFULLY SLOW he was. Tarver looked like he took a handful of sleeping pills right before he walked to the ring.

I think he's the fastest light heavyweight since Jones but I wouldn't compare them, Jones is possibly the most athletically gifted fighter in history and is one of the smartest fighters of this generation.

Dawson looks like he can have a very good career in front of him, he has all the tools to be successful, he has speed, pretty good power, throws great combinations, good movement, he showed against Tarver that he can stay focused for 12 rounds of a fight, he didn't get lax with his defense, he has a good jab, he has proven that he can come back from being hurt, he looks like he has good intangibles, he knows how to dig deep when the going gets tough, so he has all the ingredients to be successful.

...I think he's all that and a bag of chips. The kid is unreal. Top five P4P IMO.

You know i tuned in, in rd 9 and Tarver look lathergic in his punched seemed orchastrated... I mean he was throwing them like slow as hell... damn how did Roy or Glen lose to this dude, he has tottally regressed since the last Johnson fight
