Roy did not and was not accused of taking steroids...

Roy was accused of taking Pro-Hormones. Pro hormones consist of Legal chemical formulas which with the right enzyme convert in the body to the real thing at much smaller rates

rumours have gone around that he took ripped fule. If this is the case then he did not even take a pro-hormone, It is a fat burner with natural test boosters which have been shown to be un effective in raising test levels in most cases and very little in others, No benefits other then increased libido and fat loss could be achived with this. He supposedly took a 1-AD clone. If he did, This converts to an isomer of 1-testosterone. This is proven technology and does increase the body's un-natural test levels temporarlly while using, then test levels will completely drop back down to below normal and come back up to normal. In some cases can leave you with low testosterone levels for life. The test levels will increase, causing the body recover quicker in training and also increase aggression/endurance.

1-AD can only be taken for a maximum of 4 weeks, after which this time your natural test levels will have dropped dramatically. This then requires extensive PCT and support products to get natural test levels back to normal.

    My points and questions being:

If roy did test positive only in the fight against Virgil Hill who apparently tested positive for the same thing at 10X more then roy.... How did roy jones score 31 KO's before and including the virgil hill fight.

again if positive, how did he make virgil hill look like a piece of **** even though he was on the exact same "steroid" scoring a 4rth round KO?

How did he win a silver at the olympics ?

how did he then go on to win another 7Kos , 5 unaminous decisions and a majority decision against the likes of:

    Tito Trinidad
    Montell Griffin
    Clinton Woods
    John Ruiz
    Antonio Tarver
    Eric Harding
    Richard Hall

how did he beat the likes of:

    James Toney
    Bernard Hopkins

    in his previous fights

    * end of rant *

Jones has more of a legacy than most boxers of today
    p4p no.1 in 90's
Still considered All time great and p4p Top Ten
Silver at olympics ( Which if you read into it should of been a gold, however the judges were corupt and addmitted that at a later date )
Jones has more heart then most boxers
Jones put on a show for the audience every time and wasn't scared of anyone

people that are new to boxing and like to call them selfs boxing fans becasue they have watched afew fights in 2007 and 2008 or like many calzaghe fans are from the UK like myself, but because of the hopkins fight are suddenly over night calzaghe nuthuggers

Can you not just accept the facts and read into how exciting/interesting and passionate a career jones really had . None of you have anything to say about calzaghe other than he beat kessler and hopkins. Read the latest release of frank warrens ( ****ing **** head http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...ht=brave-heart ) and you will find out that joes ever so seemingly sparkling gold career is about as real as pamela andersons *******.... exciting as tony blair.... and as tastefull as this hair cut:

spelling is not my strong point before u little girls start bitching. Get out the library and into the gym

Like I have said a million times, In order to beat Roy, one must have him gun shy. Joe Calzagh's ***** slaps will not do this.

Roy will punch. Joe will "punch".

Lets see who actually connects and connects with power....

The Windmill super Joe slap flurry wont get him the victory in this fight. Roy can look flashy too BUT will actually connect.....
        I agree.

I REALLY want Roy to expose the garbageosity of Joe Calzaghe. If I was Roy, I would adopt the mindset and style of Griffin II. I would just come out in round 1 and say 'this guy can't hurt me, and I'm walking THROUGH him".

Then I suppose you should get into shape, put on a pair of gloves and go out instead of Roy...you know how they saying goes, right?

I mean, we would even support you and call you the NSB champion, sounds good and public will think that you won one of these combat reality shows.
If Joe is as bad as you say he is I would be surealy picking you to ko him inside 8 rounds.

No, not at all, but Calzaghe seems to be such pure and utter ****(according to some) surely such a large and imposing man like you would have an easy time proving that to the boxing public?

By your logic, then no professional fighter should ever be harshly criticized by the public. in fact, any of us should/could get into shape and kick the crap out of Kimbo Slice.

Side note: check my points, bitches.

I say criticize them as much as you like, but keep in mind that they are professional fighters and most of the critics(you know, boxing is a lot like literature in regard of critics) are not, that means in that context they(critics) have a very different frame of mind from fighters and are likely to overlook things that are pretty evident to these said fighters and not evident to the (non)boxing public.

Or in other words, most critics would not know boxing if it came to them and punched them in the mouth.

American boxing legend Roy Jones has warned Joe Calzaghe that he will never be recognised as a truly great champion.

Jones and Calzaghe finally meet at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 8, but Jones has warned his Welsh rival that his status as the world's best light-heavyweight and his legacy are under threat.

"Joe is a long way from being the king of boxing in America," said Jones. "He's a good European fighter but there are too many question marks about his career.

"I have answered all my doubters and beaten living legends but Joe has too much catching up to do. He beat Bernard Hopkins but Hopkins was at the end of his career - and now he has to get past me.

"I've been looking at tapes of Joe's fights and I just can't see a way that he can beat me," continued Jones (left), who has won world titles at middleweight through to heavyweight.

The pair are promoting their fight at the historic New York venue, and last month they went on a five-city tour to generate publicity.

"We got on OK during the tour but it was getting a little tense at the end," admitted Calzaghe.

"I could tell that Roy just wanted to get back in the gym and that is exactly what I wanted to do.

"I respect Roy's opinion but he is wrong about his prediction - I can't see a way that he can beat me."
Roy never fought the best opponents either. This is a nice spin for Roy...

This is one of the MANY reasons Joe "***** ass" Calzaghe didnt come to America and fight Roy Jones Jr when he was prime. Joey was scared and he has every right to be. Thank god Frank Warren had him busy over in wales fighting bums, or he would have lost a long long time ago... Thanks Frank. You made Calzaghe who he is today...... lol
