Not yet....maybe Floyd was thinking futuristically.

Exactly!! Dawson has not earned the distinction of being P4P#1 yet. He certainly has the potential of getting there though and I give him a pretty decent shot at getting there in the not too distant future. He is young, fast, fluid and already taking on all comers. You cannot ask for anything more.

He is already quickly becoming the man to beat. He basically cleaned out the older horses in the division and and still marching forward.

Chad Dawson is a breath of fresh air people. He is taking on all comers and that is this what this game is all about.

On the contrary. Floyd has said that Manny Pac is "a good little fighter".

But if Pac gets busted up by DLh at 147, that will speak to the wide guld between the skills of mayweather, and the skills of Pacquiao.

Thats not really the best compliment to pay a man who a vast majority of boxing fans see as the P4P number 1.

He may not have the resume, but he does seem to have very good skills, speed, reflexes, natural ability and physical gifts. I ain't saying he's P4P, but I think Mayweather may be on to something. We'll have to wait and see. Too bad Chad is a lightheavy. At least there are possible fights with Pavlik, Jermain, Lacy, Calzaghe, hell, maybe even Roy, Bernard or Winky.

clearly top ten. he always looks remarkable. his chin is improving. he took some good lefts against t-bag. he showed grit in fighting through being hurt against glen johnson in addition to amazing boxing skill and natural talent. those combos last night would be impressive on a bag much less against a world-class champion. i've never seen tarver look so helpless with his gloves up. with a couple more high caliber wins he could take #1 within a year or two....

I hear ya, his talent was very impressive last night. He only seems to be lacking a little more punching power and attitude. He's very soft spoken, which is no fault but it could hurt his marketability.
