Mayweather is almost always about business so I think I he was just looking out for Showtime since they host MMA.

Tonight it seems as if he went out of his way to give credit and respect to the Elite XC fighters. He was asked nothing about the sport, yet for some reason, he seemed compelled to bring it up.
