That huge 4 foot wide bag only conditioned Ricky to throw wide, inaccurate shots. FMS' method of using pads and shooting shots back to make RH get accustomed to using his defense (head movement and ducking) will make Ricky a better, more precise fighter.
On 24/7, Graham had Ricky go 15 rounds with that monstrous bodybag. RH didn't have to move his head a single time. And even a blind man can hit that bag.
u cant teach an old dog new tricks ...its a saying 4 a reason ...this might have worked againsts other fighters but not paulie ..u cant out box a boxer ..imo the real ricky would ko paulie bad ..this new boxer ricky is gonna lose a ud
U know what i think there good for each other big Floyd and Hatton..
they seem like they got chemistry together which is down to Hatton respecting Floyd snr big time...
I think we will see a polished version of Hatton come fight night

I think Hatton made this move because he realized Floyd, Jr. was A LOT better than he previously thought once he got in the ring with FMJ.
Hatton was looking at PBF and saying "yeah, he's pretty fast, but he can't go backwards as fast as I come forward. And if he tries to fight me inside, i'll eat him up. I'm much stronger and hit much harder and have a better chin than him. etc". Then, he realized that there is a whole other skill level that he wasn't exposed to.
it was kinda like the Heisman trophy winner at RB showing up at training camp and finding out the linebackers are faster than he is.
Ricky seems himbled somewhat. Which is a far diffeent Ricky from THIS GUY:
