    What a savage assbeating...

    Mohamad Abdulaev vs. Philip Holiday

Poor Philip Holiday got beaten up for literally almost every second of the fight as long as it lasted.

He got knocked down like 3 times didn't he? I know I saw this fight somewhere maybe ESPN Classic.

Abdulaev was a pretty good fighter. His loss against Clottey was a fluke.

His loss to Cotto... was not.

It was on ESPNClassic last night... I DVR every Showtime classic fights episode that comes on at 1 AM Central Time, and it was that and Tszyu vs. Leija.

Ah I thought I saw it somewhere. Speaking of taping Showtime classic fights, I forgot to tape the Diaz/Castillo fight.

Phillip Holliday set compubox records with his fight with Ivan Robinson when he landed 555 punches.
Guy gave Shane Mosley some hell too.

This fight was the tail end of his career.

I saw Abdulaev fight live once and was very impressed. He looked destined to be a champion. Apparently he never recovered from the vicious beating he took from Cotto.

He was my younger brother's favorite prospect but I never had high hopes for him. He was too old to develop as a pro. His power was really good but his punches were too wide.

Abdullaev was definitely a good prospect, could have been better had he not run into Cotto.

That record got broken by the way. I know for a fact that Larios holds the record now from when he fought Wayne McCullough. I think he landed over 600.

                  How was the Mosley-Holiday bout?
