David Lopez Wins Again, Career Moves Forward

By Jake Donovan - The outcomes were pretty much as expected in the pair of televised fights from the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona. What wasn’t expected was the lack of action produced in either bout, with middleweight David Lopez and lightweight David Rodela each emerging victorious in relatively uneventful decisions. [details]

Lopez is your solid, workman everyman fighter. He can box a little but his main asset is that he's rugged and comes to fight. He doesn't do anything special but he's always in shape and has beaten some very good fighters.

Is he a threat to a Pavlik or Abraham, no. But the guys just below that may be in his depth.
