Whitaker by decision. He'd be able to frustrate Mosley and when Mosley gets discouraged he rarely has a plan B as he showed against Forrest both times and Winky as well.
SSM is just a speedy brawler who can't adapt. A GREAT athlete who takez alot of hits which is weird. You'd also expect better accuracy coming from someone with that kind of speed.
Whitaker would frustrate the hell out of Mosley with his jab and movement. Whitaker could either be more defensive-minded and box on the backfoot effectively, or stay in the pocket. He sometimes did too much trading for his own good (he still won these fights comprehensively anyway), but I don't see him doing it too much against Mosley if Mosley has too much success.
I don't really see how Mosley would win this. He's not gonna outbox Whitaker, and I don't see him overpowering Pea with his "power-boxing". Whitaker was crafty and took shots pretty well anyway. The punch you could get Whitaker with the most was the straight right. Mosley could have success with this, but he'd need to throw more straight rights IMO. He loops that right hand a lot.
There is of course, the size advantage that Mosley would have (he was a huge LW), but I don't see it being enough.

Mosley doesn't get discouraged, he just doesn't have a plan b. If plan A isn't working, he will keep trying plan A.
