I think Vitali will win but I do question whether he can perform with his inactivity, age and past injuries.

I'm not rooting for either really.

Peter is a terrible champion and boxer but he does want to prove that he is the 'true' champion and would probably fight Wladimir next.
I want to be impressed by Peter but so far he has been a letdown because of his lack of dedication and inconsistency.

I can't say what Vitali would do next if he were to win the title but he is the better boxer and sportsman. It would be interesting to have him back as an active champion but it wouldn't be worth it if he retires/injures himself again.

C'mon now, TheManchine - you posted yesterday you'll be rooting for Peter. I know you will be, you never root for a European fighter.

It would be better for boxing and the heavyweight division if Peter were to win this fight and then try to unify the titles. I have a feeling that he will be disqualified though.

I said I would not root for Peter to be knocked out as I usually do.

Vitali winning the title could turn out to be good or bad, hard to say.

I'm almost certain that Peter would try to unify but you never know in boxing.

Would love to see Vitali take it by KO. I think he is a true talent who simply had a run of bad luck at the wrong time that really wasn't his fault. A comeback win over Peter will help give him some sort of achievement to go out on and bring some attention back to the heavies.

Peter on the other hand has had plenty chances to make a name for himself, but has done nothing but decline and gain weight since his impressive outing against Wlad.

The ideal situation for me would see Vitali beat Peter and than fight and lose a tough fight to Gomez; who can than go on to challenge Wlad.

Gomez's nifty win over the limited but dangerous Virchis. I don't think he would beat Wlad or a peak condition Vitali, but it would be interesting to see. He has more of a pulse than Peter right now.

I really have no idea how Peter/Vitali will turn out. It all depends on what type of shape Vitali is in and if the injuries are really behind him.
