Tarver vs Dawson...Who You Got

I noticed a lot of hate on Tarver around here. People like to say RJJ was never the same after he came back from HW. That's right, because Tarver manhandled him the first time, and in the rematch knocked his head into the 3rd row. That was the end of RJJ. The same RJJ who has a really good chance of dominating Calzaghe. Tarver also beat down Roy badly in the 3rd fight. He dominated Glen Johnson in the rematch, and deserved the first in my opinion. Especially if Dawson went life and death with Johnson and was awarded a UD. Clinton Woods is 1-1-1 with Glen. Tarver dominated him.

I think Dawson, is over hyped because he's young and "undefeated" capiche? Tarver was never in trouble vs Johnson and Glen was better back then as well. I think Tarver is in a different class. But he's hated on and underrated because of his attitude and his lack of consistency. Vegas ****ed this up, 2.3 to 1?? I got 3 large on Tarver. See the smart mutha****as at the bank.

Pretty close to call, I've got Tarver exprience coming in to play and him taking a UD, who knows maybe even a split. pretty hard fight to call!

Dawson has horrible defense and doesn't catch any punches other then with his chin. He has minimal power as well and won't be able to dent Tarver's iron chin. He is fast, has good movement and is a warrior, but his chin is weak and Tarver hits a lot harder then Johnson. He's a lot faster and a better boxer as well. I think it will be Tarver's right hook like in the 3rd RJJ fight that will end Dawson.

I think Chad is a great prospect and can do alot of things well. The problem is that Tarver does all that same stuff well and has a better chin and more pop. Based on their last fights, if nothing changes, Tarver wins a UD. Seeing that Tarver is the main rival to my favorirte fighter may seem like I'm being biased, but this one is based solely on the way both fighters looked in their latest fights on Showtime. I still pick Jones to beat Tarver in a 4th fight as long as he lets his hands go for more than a few rounds. He had Tarver hurt by those body shots in fight #3 even though he later got buzzed. If Jones had not have backed off Tarver in Rd. 5 in that one, we may have a different outlook on Jones at this time. -Peace-

Looks like Dawson has the edge at this time. I would not bet on the fight and just hope that they both put up a great fight.
