He may well be, unlike past heavyweight champs who where household names to casual sports fans Wlad is a complete unknown, He gets hardly any press coverage in the UK and i have never even seen one of his fights mention on any main stream news channel. The only one that might come close is Moore but he is fairly well known due to his loss to Foreman. guys like Douglas and Spinks were household names due to there shock wins even though they never achived anything else after there wins.

Well, he is very popular in Germany and eastern Europe. In Germany, nobody knew Lewis until Vitali fought him. Boxing has finally become a global sport, which I think is a good thing.

Really i was never a big fan of Lewis who's style is similar to Wlads, I don’t really support boxers with that stand up stiff style, and this is not a hate thread its just the truth Wlad is a solid fighter but nothing special.

well lennox lewis wasn't a huge name either but he got to fight tyson and holyfield.

wlad is a nobdy and has nobody to fight to up his status so he has to have awesome KTfO moments in every fight and must avoid at all cost boring fights where he slaps the gloves of his opponent.
