I have a lot of respect for JIM Lampley

after seeing him react to the Angulo Tsurkan fight, where he was very compassionate to the safety of Tsurkan , and was begging for somebody to stop the fight before he cops any more beatings, and begging Tsurkan to go down, which was very unusual but warranted.

It's nice to know that he puts a boxer's safety ahead of fan entertainment.

    i agree completely.

i was very impressed by him in that fight.

Angulo was CLEARLY winning EVERY round with EASE...

Tsurkan was taking a beating that wasnt needed...

after about the 7th round it was EXTREMELY CLEAR that Tsurkan wasnt going to win the fight...everything after that wasnt warranted. That fight should have been stopped by the corner WAY sooner...im actually suprised the doctor didnt stop the fight (for those who forgot in california the doctor OR the ref can stop the fight)...

a trained person in the medical field couldnt tell???

lamply did the right thing and deserves major respect for it...

many commentators just sit there and talk about how great the fighter is who's giving the beatdown and doesnt even care the other fighter is in serious danger.

    Props to lamply.

I just really like him as a commentator.
He doesn't really say all that much from a technical point
of view but he can give a good play by play and seems to
work well with whoever is sitting beside him.

He was a bit extreme. Humor value though, I guess.
