Interesting read. Tarver is like PBF in that people would respect him more if they didn't dislike him so much. Tarver is a pretty good fighter, but aside from his rematch wit Johnson, dude has never really shown much outside of the 1st 2 RJ fights. He peaked in those fights and won't be remembered for anything else, especially after he got whomped by B-Hop. I think he'll KO Dawson, but even if he does, whenever people hear the name 'Tarver' the 1st thing that comes to mind will be Roy Jones. Legacy wise, dude is forever gonna be Buster to Roy's Tyson.

Tarver keeps talkin about his power but he hit Clinton Woods with everything but the kitchen sink and couldnt hurt him much less knock him out.

That PTS comment was hilarious. The man can talk.

How can he be Buster when he got robbed the first fight, knocked him into a leap year in the rematch and then destroyed him again in the 3rd fight?? Tarver>Roy Jones. They could've fought any year, 100 times, Tarver would win almost all of them. He has his number. After he beats overrated and weak chinned Dawson I hope he gets RJJ. RJJ will beat Calzaghe. And Tarver will beat Roy a fourth time and solidify himself as a HOF. Do we forget he cleaned out the LHW division before he took on Roy?? Or he dominated Glen Johnson worse then anybody not named Hopkins. Tarver sometimes doesn't commit himself properly to training and it shows (Hopkins). But he is vexed because people like you and the other posters, not to mention Vegas keep ****ting on his legacy. 2.3 to 1 odds?? TARVER BY KO OR EASY UD. I'll bet whatever points I have 2 to 1 vs any Dawson fan.
