Yuriorkis Gamboa in Play To Be Golden Boy Bound

A few weeks ago, I reported that Ahmet Öner, CEO of Arena Box [based in Germany], broke his ties with promoter Gary Shaw, and pulled his fighters in the process. Without question the most important fighter in the Arena/Shaw deal was featherweight prospect Yuriorkis Gamboa (12-0, 10 KOs). At the time, Öner was pursuing a possible deal with the wily veteran himself, Don King, who Öner felt would help him bring along Gamboa, and more importantly Arena's heavyweight prospect Odlanier Solis (11-0, 7KOs). I agree...Arum (hate him or not) is good at this. As far as GBP I want to know which superstar have they given us? I read they are better than Don King which I don't agree with...Don has been around for a long time and knows much more than GBP. Don King is not a saint but he knows this business.

I hope the GBP deal comes through thats exactly what he needs to rise as fast as everyone wants him too which i dont think Don would do for him but sounds to me like GBP wouldn't want to just (CO promote him) CO being the key word here.idk maybe thats just me thinking out loud.

I agree. Arum is the best at bringing along his fighters. In GBP any boxer always plays second fiddle to DLH. Look at how DLH gave JMM the shaft and stole the Pac fight from him. shameful.

the thing is that GBP has alot of the best fighters in his stable.
