I like to think that a change will do Hatton alot of good. Using one technique is not always good, considering all fighters have a different style. It took the Mayweather fight for Hatton to realize that he had to make a change for the better. I just hope that Floyd Sr. is that move for the better.

Once he gets tired (round 6ish) he will go back to his old style then be outboxed.

Lazcano almost had him a few times after rd 6 for the same reason...

"Almost" isn't good enough. Hatton still won a MASSIVE UD. It'll be the same thing again.

Good thread. Hatton is a very underrated boxer. He was just caught in a slump under Billy Graham. They thought they could just maul and pressure every fighter they came up against because those tactics worked against Tszyu.

But if you watch some of Hatton's earlier fights, you'll see what an animal he was but there was always method to his madness.

I doubt it. I got Paulie on this one. I think Hatton with his habits and hard partying style/age/aggressive fighting down the years will show come November. Mayweather is going to try to show this kid new tricks and give him a gameplan he probably wouldn't be use to it. He's going to try to introduce a different Hatton, one who isn't use to it and will lose because of it. Hatton doesn't get KO, but if he does, he should REALLY retire. PAULIE!!

Hatton's best days are behind him I think. There have been serious signs of it during his last few fights. I expect him to beat Paulie though, but I doubt he will ever beat an elite fighter again. If he does fight Oscar he will be destroyed.
