actually when you get to a level where 7 figures is thrown alot of that is covered in the contracts, seperate from the fighters purse especially the sundries such as travel (usually budgeted in a training expense fund), sparring (same), lodging, etc

I get what you saying but that still comes out of the fighters pocket in a way. Because if that didn't have to be put in the contract for those people to be paid that way that amount would probably be put into the fighter's purse.

the areas of where a fighters purse is usually taken from is the following:

the promoter- they take a cut right off the bat

manager- depending on which manager they can get upwards of 30%. Crazy isnt it?

the trainer- sometimes a % but when you get into the higher purses it becomes a static amount more and more

the team- depending on who does what. Sometimes this comes out of the manager's pay because they usually manage the team as well as the fighter. I get paid out of the manager's pay depending on what I do for them.

taxes- biggest draw off of purse

One thing you have to understand is everyone wants a fight with dlh. Who hasn't called out dlh????? Who would turn down a fight with dlh??? After the fight with pac was signed margarito eased off. He has never cried about not getting the dlh fight. Up until july 26th dlh was frontin like he wanted to fight the best, he wants a challenge, he wants to beat the best and that, the winner of margarito vs cotto would be the best and that's who he wants to fight. Well it didn't go as planned margarito knocks out cotto. So it should be dlh vs margarito right? according to dlh that was the plan to fight the winner for that fight right? Well poor dlh lying again to the public and was banking on a cotto win. All margarito did was make dlh look like a *****, a liar, and a coward. Never did Margarito think he would get a dlh match. He knew, his team new and bob arum new that margarito vs dlh wouldn't happen. All margarito did was call dlh's bluff!!!!! In fact, in reality by dlh saying he want to fight the best and want's the winner of cotto/margarito wouldn't it be dlh who was calling out cotto and margarito pre july 26th???? Like i said don't say margarito was pursing and crying about dlh all he did was call his bluff.
