Top Rank are dying to get that strap off Margarito. He's like a huge anchor holding a ship down trying to sail towards prosperity (in this case higher profile fights for more money).

Margarito doesn't have any marquee value that would make him a $4-7 mill a fight fighter (which ultimately is what he wants to be unlike his ridiculous fans thinking he's out to kill people LOL). He could fight Paul Williams, but Arum knows the risk of Margarito losing again, so he turned to a Cotto rematch (being it was in the contract anyway) as the best option for Margarito to get the money he wants and to try and get Cotto back in position as one of the top in the division.
