Are Castillo And Corrales Hall Of Famers?

I was reading an old Ring Magazine and they were talking about Floyd's retirement. One if the segments was on his pound-for-pound legitemacy and said he's only beat one sure fire Hall of famer in Oscar and 3 with slim chances to get in the hall of fame (hernandez, castillo, corrales)

First I though that it was a discredit to Floyd because he convincely beat Corrales and while many think Castillo won, he was still mega competitive with a man on top of his game while Floyd sported an injured shoulder to boot.

Mostly I felt disrespected on behalf of Corrales and Castillo (hernandez as well), because of there incredible resumes.

Personally I think Castillo prime for prime would be the best Lightweight not just during his era (which was damn near golden age) but during this era as well (as stacked as it is now), with Corales on Castillo's heels, also factor in Corrales run at 130 and finally, the 2 part battle they had with each other and really I can see how the morons at Ring could think that they both have a "slim" chance.

McClellan is not in the IBHOF. McGuigan recently got in, but I'm betting it was due more to work outside the ring than in it.

I'm not sure I'd classify them as great (perhaps) but they were certainly better than Oscar at the time he fought them.

I feel they are definately great, not even about a Mayweather factor, just cuz of there resume and how it compares to other boxers

                  Corrales:

                  IBF Superfeatherweight Champion
                  WBO Superfeatherweight Champion
                  WBC Lightweight Champion
                  WBO Lightweight Champion
                  The Ring Lightweight Lineal Champion

                  Beaten:
                  Roberto Garcia
                  Joel Casamayor
                  Jose Luis Castillo
                  Acelino Frietas
                  Angel Manfredy

                  Castillo:
                  2x WBC Lightweight Champion
                  The Ring Lightweight Champion

                  Beaten:
                  Diego Corrales
                  Joel Casamayor
                  Stevie Johnson
                  Javier Jauregui
                  Ceasar Bazan
                  Herman Ngoujo
The only man to look competitive against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

A lot of ppl in the Hall Of Fame have less resumes then this, and most boxers can only dream to have a list like this, you don't have to win 16 titles in 16 weight classes to be great

                    fair enough

its just i was debating McClellan's inclusion into the BHOF on another site there must have just been rumours or what not but you take my point popularity is just as much a factor as anything else thats why i dont take it serious
