how many great fights never happened because of oscar?

    oscar is a great fighter.

i loved some of his fights and for the most part he was entertaining to watch.

i always root for oscar except for a few exceptions like the tito fight and the 1st shane fight.

got me to thinking , shane skipped 140 from 135 to meet up with oscar.

floyd fought oscar instead of marg and cotto because of the money.

if oscar wasn't fighting manny , could a hatton-pacquiao fight have been made? maybe a 3rd bout with juanma?

opinions? what other good fights never happened or was delayed because of fighters fighting oscar for the bigger money?

Good thread Tuaman. It's true, several fights have been lost as a by-product of the race to the pot of gold that is a DLH fight. Noone's fault, just the economics of the sport.

no one's to blame. we all would do it. money is very important.

i just was thinking man if shane could have stayed at 135...... mayweather-mosley would've been a beautiful thing to watch.

imagine shane against kostya or zab at 140? or floyd against kostya?

pacquiao against soto or valero this december would have been a nice watch. no superfight but i would pay to see it.

Kind of opposite of where you wanted this thread to go, but...

I found it interesting in HBO's commentary during Wright-Mosley I that Oscar's greed for money, and not wanting to give either Trinidad or Mosley a fair split at least would likely lead them to fight each other...

Too bad my boy Winky ****ed all that jazz up.

as a tito fan...... i'm glad oscar was greedy and a rematch never happened.

winky deserved it. i give mosley props. he was the only one who was not scared to fight winky. ****! he did it twice back to back! that's major balls right there.
