De La Hoya, Hatton Co-Promotion Deal in The Works

According to a report in Telegraph Sport, Ricky Hatton is in the process of setting up a joint venture with Oscar De la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions to develop British fighters. Hatton's vision is to turn his own promotional company, Punch Promotions, into Golden Boy's UK partner. He wants to sign and develop UK-based talent, and then use his connection with Golden Boy to further develop them in the United States. [details]

This is a good idea from GBP and Hatton, I don't like the sound of business partners fighting each other though.

delahoya-hatton will not happen. after december 6, delahoya has one big option left, fighting the best before he ends his career. delahoya's next opponent will be juan manuel lopez at 130lbs. then he retires.
