I also think that Vitali will use uppercuts all night long. He's not McCline though, if he drops Peter, he'll finish him.

Vitaly doesn't throw uppercuts and rarely works the body.

I think this fight will come down to who has the better chin or stamina if the fight goes late.

        not a very hard target

You have to take some wicked punishment to get close enough to hit his head.

He does throw uppercuts, but usually with his right hand, and not often. That jab/hook/uppercut thing, though, is what's going to be Sam's big problem, and will probably start his demise in this fight. A right hand will probably finish Peter, but that left that Vitali throws will start him walking down ***** street.

are u kidding me the uppercut is in Vitalis arsenal watch some of his fights and as far as bodywork goes watch Kirk Johnson fight and Corrie Sanders fights you will see some decent body work by Vitali

thats exactly what I was talking about, thats Vitali trademark jab left hook uppercut combo. I think this will give Peter problems. Im sure Vitali has watched a bunch of Peters fights especially the Wlad fight prolly 100 times and will try to catch Peter right after he throws a big punch. Vitali fights at distance but is also not afraid to trade

Vitali does fight at a distance like Wlad but he doesnt clinch that much when he gets hit and doesnt run as much, hes not araid to take a shot and also not afraid to trade punches even with big punchers and if thats what it comes down to Vitali will win that battle, and as far as stamina I think Peter will fade quicker then Vitali. Peters only chance is getting lucky and catching Vitali flush but Vitali has never been down. Vitali has a good chin and also from what I have heard from other fighters that Peters punches are easy to see and I think Vitali will be to smart and experienced to get caught. I think the fight will end within 8-9rds with Vitali stopping Peter

vitaly barely uppercuts and the kirk johnson fight is the only fight he digs to the body and that was only like 5-6 times the hole fight.

vitaly's bread and butter is that half jab/hook and the right hand. he doesn't really do much else.

I'm not sayin vitaly won't wiin, but let's not imagine vitaly doing things that he doesn't do.

like i said, this fight is going to come down to chin and stamina.

You're right, in that he doesn't throw the uppercut often, which is a shame...he throws it well, and has lots of opportunity. I remember thinking when he was fighting Johnson, Sanders and Williams all three that he could've shaved a few rounds off any of those fights if he'd thrown it.....well, maybe not the Johnson fight, I guess.

As far as anything other than headhunting...yeah, I think the only body shot I've ever seen him throw with any intent was against Johnson, and that was only in an attempt to get Kirk to drop his left a little so he could land a right hand. Turned out it didn't make much difference. But honestly, when you're as big and aggressive as he is, and pack that kind of power, headhunting is the best way to go anyway.
