I wanna hear boxingscene do an interview with mitchell to see what he thinks about how a calzaghe/pavlik fight will end.

Taylor injured Pavlik's already bruising elbows in both of their encounters. I look for Hopkins to zero in on that elbow and try to break it. That's what I would do.

You'd think this wouldn't be too big a problem, but any weakness could be bad for Kelly against B-Hop.

This isn't good, Hopkins will exploit any weakness Pavlik brings into the ring.

I don't understand Pavlik's need to go public with this.

That's exactly what I thought, why announce this for everyone, including Hopkins, to know?

                  Only 2 explanations possible:

1: It has no significance, but he wanted to tell about it because the elbowprotector will be visible in the open sparring sessions.
                  2: It has significance.

Either way you can interpret it as Pavlik lacking a bit in the confidence department as this might be an excuse ready for a bad perfomance. Otherwise he should have kept quiet.

He should just keep quiet about it, interesting he should tell the media about it.

I agree. I think the second reason is more likely.
