    RJJ ATG status

Where do you rank Roy Jones Jr. among the all time greats now.

And where will you rank him if he convincingly decisions or even stops Calzaghe? especially if he pulls this off at this age and stage of his career.

roy is already high on the atg list.

above floyd and bernard right now imo.

beating joe would be icing on the cake and great way to leave the ring.

All time p4p rankings are pretty much impossible as often very little footage and info is available on great fighters of the past and also eras that are separated by almost a century are too difficult to compare. Of the fighters that I have actually seen Roy would be a top 10 all timer for mine.

As of this particular moment Jones is high on the list of ATGs in terms of skill but on the lower end in terms of legacy. How many other fighters are there who, despite a somewhat questionable resume, have to be given a serious chance against anyone in the history of the sport at their weight? Perhaps the most athletic boxer ever. That said, beating Calzaghe could redeem him a great deal.

Roy is an ATG even if he loses to Joe C. If he wins, he moves up a notch or 2 above wherever he'd be already, which is open for interpretation. Joe gets hated on a lot but he's still the #2 fighter in boxing right now and for an aging RJ to beat him is a great feat, even tho Joe is in his mid 30s too.
