    The Butterbean Getting Owned Thread

Butterbean is probably the greatest farce in the history of fighting, both boxing and MMA. To think, there was a time when he was being featured on HBO PPVs, while others who could actually fight weren't getting air time. On the DLH-Rivera card some years back, Butterbean's fight was televised while Daniel Santos, Vasiliy Jirov and Zahir Raheem's fights were untelevised. What a clown.

Getting blown out by Mitch Rose, 1-7, in his third fight. To think people still tried to promote him after this garbage.

This was pretty pathetic, against Pat Smith Butterbean gets beat in the standup game then goes down and is beaten into submission for a few minutes on the floor. Taps out like a punk.

He fought over here in the UK a few weeks (well, a month or so ago now) and was KO'd in 1 round, he was also outboxed by an ancient Larry Holmes

This was pretty brutal, Butterbean damn near got his leg and neck broken by Mike Bernardo. I love it.

The only fights he can win are of the fixed variety.

King of the Four Rounders getting rammed up the butt by Nick Penner and taps out.

Butterbean thrased the same James Thompson that Kimbo got a gift stoppage against...

He also has a very good record though and was never regarded as a serious contender...he was "king" of a division that didn't truly exist.

Can't call him the biggest farce because he was labelled as a boxing attraction, not a fantastic boxer

Yes Butterbean thrashed Thompson, and Butterbean would probably last 30 seconds against the Petruzelli as opposed to 14 seconds.

You can call him a farce since there was a time when they were actually trying to pass him off as a potential heavyweight contender, that time passed once the world got a hold of him. He took spots away from more deserving fighters and make a spectacle of the sport.

Link me a telecast where someone is calling Butterbean a legit heavyweight contender.

He never fought anyone but club fighters and never fought 12 rounders...
