sorry about not being clear with my reply. The 5'11" comment was a reply to Roy Jones. I've since edited the reply to be more clear. I think Oscar is no taller than 5'9"1/2 on a good day. He definetly wears lifts in his shoes on most occations but I think he has decided to stop using them for the promotions on the pac-man fight to validate there is not as much difference in size as most would think. After all, it is Golden Boy promotions doing this fight and he wants to keep as many people intrigued by showing how there is not as much difference in size as people would have thought.

It looks like you've done some homework with the pics. Again, he wears lifts. google "elevator shoes" and you can see the variety of shoes available. The only way you can get an idea of his true height is by pulling up video's or pics at the weigh in's or in the ring before he fights. There is one pic I ran into of Mayorga and Oscar in a stare down photo wearing their boxing attire and they where almost exsactly the same height. I've been face to face with Mayorga on many occations in South Florida and he is 5'9" barefoot. believe me!

Cintron is 6 feet 1 and margarito is 6 feet....paul williams is 6 feet 4 but listed at 6 feet 1.

when a guy is a tall welter they always down play the height by 2 or 3 inches so it doesnt look like they are bullying smaller men its such a shame.

also tommy hears was 6 feet 2 early in his career they listed him as 5 feet 11 lol that dude was way taller then 5 feet 11 even some older writers said it the guy is a bit above 6 feet.

Cintron is only looks half inch taller than Margarito but Tony has bad posture so that may account for the difference. I don't recall anyone ever publishing Cintron as 6'1". He may be over 5'11" though but 6'1" is a big difference.

Paul Williams looks about a half inch shy of 6'4".

Oscar is 5'10". Floyd is probably 5'7.5" or 5'8" and Ricky is 5'6" or 5'6.5". I don't think that's too hard to believe. Claiming that Oscar is 5'8" is silly though. That would mean Floyd is like 5'6" and Pacquiao is 5'4". I don't think so.
