Is Jumanma Lopez P4P the hardest puncher in the sport?

If JuanMa actually defends his belt against someone good, then I'll be impressed for him actually steppin up his game. Same thing with the p4p puncher, knocking a bum and Ponce out doesn't cut it, if he does that to the leet top guys too then I will agree.

His knockouts are a result of his excellent technique and timing. He certainly carries good punching power and he has relatively quick hands too. Lopez knocked out Figueroa because he set-up and placed his punches nearly perfectly. The right hook was right on the point of the chin...beautiful shot. That has been the case with many of his knockout wins. You saw it against De Leon too. Long left hand and a right hook right on the chin to drop him the first time. I believe the shot that ultimately knocked Ponce out landed behind the ear.

The kid is just a very good boxer. I don't know if I'd put him among the top 5-10 hardest punchers in the sport, but he is looking like he'll be considered one of the 5-10 best boxers overall very soon.

All guys who could be considered naturally harder punchers p4p. Many things make up a great puncher though. Speed, technique, variation, power, timing, accuracy...Lopez seems to carry all of these elements.

Peter lacks several of these traits, but his awesome raw power and brute strength more than makes up for it. I think the same is true with Valero. A guy like Vazquez possesses almost all of those elements...everything is short, quick, powerful and properly thrown.
